Dose Diary

Repeat prescription reorder date

A simple sum for UK repeats: how many days of medicine you have left, minus the days your pharmacy or GP needs to prepare the next one.

This page does not store anything you type. It is not medical advice. Always follow your GP or pharmacist if they give you a different lead time.

How the sum works

Days left = tablets left ÷ tablets taken each day (rounded down). Reorder by = today + (days left − lead time), or today if that date has already passed. The default lead time is 7 days, which many UK pharmacies suggest for repeats.

Example

28 tablets, 2 a day, 7-day lead time, on 1 October: 14 days left, so order by 8 October.

In Dose Diary, stock counts down as you tick doses, and it can remind you of this reorder date automatically.
