Terms of use

About these terms
These terms are between you and Daryl Bleach, trading as Dose Diary (“we”), for using Dose Diary. Contact: hello@getdosediary.com.
By creating an account you agree to these terms. Please also read our privacy notice.
What Dose Diary is, and isn’t
Dose Diary is a personal diary and record-keeping tool. It helps you keep track of your medicines, how you feel and your appointments, and turns your diary into a summary you can share.
It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It does not diagnose, recommend or change doses, or tell you whether to take a medicine. Patterns and the side-effect watch only describe what you have written, as things that may be worth mentioning to your GP or pharmacist.
Always follow the advice of your GP, pharmacist or other health professional. In an emergency, call 999. For urgent help that isn’t an emergency, call NHS 111.
Reminders depend on your phone, its settings and its internet connection. Please don’t rely on them alone for medicines where a missed dose could be serious.
Your account
- You must give accurate details and keep your password safe.
- You are responsible for what is done with your account, including by helpers you invite.
- If someone set up your account for you, it becomes yours when you take it over with your own password.
- One account is for one person.
Plans and payment
- Every account includes a 14-day free trial of all features. It starts when the account is created (or, if someone set it up for you, when you take it over), and it is the same whether you sign up on our website or in the iPhone app. No card is needed. There is one trial per account: it isn’t restarted, and it isn’t added on to a paid plan.
- After the trial, Dose Diary is locked until you choose a plan: Dose Diary (£2.99 a month or £24.99 a year). Prices include VAT. While it is locked, nothing is deleted, and you can still download your data, change your account details or delete your account.
- The Dose Diary plus On The Day plan is no longer sold. If you already have it, it carries on at the price you agreed until you cancel it.
- If you choose a plan during the trial, the first payment is taken straight away, and the rest of the trial isn’t added on.
- Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. When you cancel, the plan doesn’t renew, and you keep your paid features until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If you subscribe on our website: you can cancel at any time in Dose Diary, on the Your plan page. The law also gives you 14 days from the day you subscribe to change your mind. Your first payment is taken when you subscribe; if you cancel within those 14 days, email hello@getdosediary.com and we will pay it back.
- If you subscribe in the iPhone app: Apple takes the payment, and Apple’s terms apply to it. You cancel in your iPhone’s Settings, under your name and then Subscriptions. Refunds for App Store payments are made by Apple, so ask Apple. We can’t refund them ourselves.
- If we change prices, we will tell you at least 30 days before, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
- If you stop paying, nothing is deleted. Dose Diary is locked until you choose a plan again, and you can still download everything.
Your content
Everything you write in Dose Diary belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Dose Diary for you, as described in the privacy notice. You can download it or delete it at any time.
Fair use
Please don’t misuse Dose Diary: for example, trying to get into other people’s accounts, overloading the service, or using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does this, and will tell you why unless the law stops us.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Dose Diary running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may improve or change features. If we ever close Dose Diary, we will give you at least 60 days’ notice and the chance to download everything.
Our responsibility to you
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
- We are not responsible for loss that isn’t foreseeable, or for decisions made using Dose Diary instead of professional advice.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
- Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why (unless the law prevents it), and you can still download your data first.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We will tell you about important changes at least 30 days before they apply.
